Advantages that set us apart:
• Qualified students can undertake a paid research
project in their junior or senior year. Normally, research
projects are not part of an undergraduate student’s
program. However, under the supervision of a
D’Youville faculty member, you can participate in
research activities at a nearby institution, which can
include such facilities as the world-renowned Roswell Park
Memorial Institute.
• Unlike most colleges, D’Youville offers an
in-house review course designed to help you prepare for
graduate or professional school entrance exams. Students at
other colleges often pay $1,000 or more to take a
comparable review course from a for-profit commercial firm.
• We offer a course in human gross anatomy that
includes the dissection of human cadavers. While such a
course is a common part of medical and dental school
curricula, it is rare to find one offered at an
undergraduate college.
• D’Youville’s biology major is also well
suited for those students interested in pursuing a career
in teaching or physical therapy. The biology major is
structured in such a way that it can satisfy the
requirements needed to enroll in a graduate degree program
in either education (MS) or physical therapy (DPT).
