This is the first official case that a club has been denied its own independent club recognition. Yet, the very struggle of the newly-created GLBS Alliance, which stands for Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Straight Alliance has been to be recognized independently by the college. In a conversation with the Vice President for Student Affairs, Robert "Butch" Murphy he discussed the background of the club and the obstacles that have prevented GLBS from attaining full college recognition.
