Federal regulations require students to receive an
Entrance Interview when they receive their first Stafford
Loan and an Exit Interview when they graduate or withdraw
from college. Both interviews are counseling sessions that
advise students of their rights and responsibilities
relative to the Stafford Loans.
Formerly, these interviews were done in person with a
Financial Aid Counselor from the college. Now they can be
done on-line at the D'Youville College website. Go to
www.dyc.edu Then click on Admissions, Financial Aid, What's
New, and Mapping Your Future where a hot link has been
installed. The on-line system is interactive, and reports to
the guarantor and the College that the student has fulfilled
the interview requirement. You can do this when it fits into
your own schedule and are not required to attend a session
that may interfere with your class schedules or study
time.
