Math For Everyone II

Mathematics courses designed as general studies courses, suitable for students seeking to fulfill their core requirement or simply following the dictates of their own interests.
MAT123 Introduction to Applied Statistics
3D rendering of a roulette wheel

This is a more robust statistics offering than MAT120 and it is required by most of our allied health majors. It is applicable to the IDS math requirement and to the college core requirement in math. You must have taken CSC110 or 151, or 161, or 389 to take this course and you need to have either taken MAT101 or done well enough on your SAI to skip MAT101. If you have taken MAT120, you cannot take this course.

MAT125 Calculus I
Leibniz and Newton, side-by-side

If you intend to major in the sciences, to attend grad school in a science, to attend medical school or to major in mathematics, this course is a must. Depending on your SAI scores, you may have to take one or both of MAT101 and MAT122 to be cleared to take calculus. This course is generally applicable to Core and IDS math requirements, and is a must if you need to take PHY101/102.
